Spaniards/Italians: Does it bother you when Mexicans, Dominicans, etc identify themselves as "Hispani/Latins"?

If the Spanish, French, and Portuguese are Latin for being conquered shouldn't the South Americans also be Latin for being conquered as well? By those "Latin"
