Is this why the Government won't use military action against drug cartels?

Because it would piss off the Latino community and America is known for tolerating just about everything. Even child murderers rarely get the death pentalty anymore. That and US military action against the cartels would make too much sense, then border patrol, which doesn't do their job anyway, they really then wouldn't have sh*t to do! It's because governments on both sides of the border are receiving handouts from this multi-billion $$ a year paramilitary drug organization. Praise capitalism!
